TIFF 419 Bermuda Turf Grass

Tiff 419 Bermuda grass forms a thick lawn with fine leaf blades(1.7mm) and a dark green color. Most recognized for use on athletic fields and golf courses Tiff 419 Bermuda is growing increasing popular in "GO GREEN" neighborhoods because of low water requirements. A full sun grass, Tiff has poor shade tolerance but has great wear resistance in high traffic areas. Highly susceptible to fall armyworm.

Mowing is a critical and often underappreciated
cultural practice:

Maintain Tiff at 0.75-2" (1.5" is optimal)
Heights above 2" will reduce quality
Rotary mowers are preferred for heights 1" or higher
Reel mowers are preferred for heights below 1"
Mow every 5-7 days during the active growing season
Mow every 10-14 days, or as needed, during cooler weather
Never cut more than 1/3 of the total length of the blade at any one mowing
